Summary: The name may have changed, but Adam Lippes’ line, now called Adam by Adam Lippes (was Adam plus Eve), is still preppy with an edge. Think sumer in the Hamptons. In just three short years, Adam has gone from skivvies to sportswear for both women and men. We are only going to focus on the women’s because as much as we care about me, we don’t care about their fashions (at least not here).

Adam’s inspiration came from the French Abstractionist, Sonia Delaunay and American Morris Louis. He was also influenced by the beauty and serenity of Japan, particularly Kyoto. The styles were easy to wear and the color palette which was mostly creams and beiges had sparks of color and sprays of metallics. While the collection was not the most innovative we have seen, it certainly has sellability written all over it.
