One can easily image Karla Lagerfield (the lady version of Mr. Lagerfield) wearing the ensembles from his spring ’08 collection. Per usual, there is something just a bit mysterious and haunting about each piece but what strikes the viewer is the way he understands how sheer fabric is more that just something that helps the wearer float down the runway. Almost jersey-like in it’s appearance his fabric doesn’t simple cling to the body but almost hovers over it almost teasing the skin. Black, white is paired with yellow, a bright lilac hue and even a burst of red but the best part of the spring collection– the sheer, long legwarmer-style sheers for the arms. Otherwise, it’s what we ought expect from KL’s RTW collection: smart, chic and fresh. — Amy Ko, Senior Editor
