Summary: Ralph Lauren is a traveler who likes to take use for journeys to far-away lands. He can, he has been around seemingly as long as I can remember. For spring…it’s Morocco. Oddly, it reminded me of Ralph Lauren from days of yore. Think mass amounts of khaki color silk safari gear and androgynous suits. Updated for today, there was plenty of gold shine and shimmer added in for good measure. Slouchy silk harem and parachute pants are obviously in for spring giving a modern twist to Indiana Jones’ style. The turbans were a little extreme for my tastes and looked too severe and painful on the rail thin models. Thankfully they mostly came off for evening and the gowns in olive silk-linen, gold lamé and black tuxedo wear were perfectly accented with over-the-top, but gorgeous jewels. I’m already planning my next safari…or trip on the Marrakesh Express.
