Second City Style’s Holiday Gift Guide 2014: Boozy Gifts

Fountain of 30

December 12, 2014 • Fashion Blog, Food, Wine & Spirits, Holiday

This might just be my favorite gift guide of them all … bar centric, boozy gifts. For those who like to imbibe during the holidays (or any day) there has to be something here you would like to give … or receive.

1. Ole Smoky Apple Pie Moonshine, around $20

Like Grandma’s apple pie, but with a kick! Delicious!

2. Disaranno wears Versace, $27.99

The bottle alone is beautiful and it’s the cheapest Versace you will ever see.

3. Crane & Canopy The Gold Lab Erlenmeyer Flask Shot Glass, $21

For the science nerd booze hound.

4. Hudson Maple Cask Rye, $44.99

5. Corzo Tequila Reposado 375ml Half Bottle, now $27.72

Who wouldn’t want to display this bottle on their bar? It tastes great too.

6. UncommonGoods Whiskey and Rum Making Kit, $25 – 75

Whiskey is the vodka or the ’10’s so why not make your own? Or at least try.

7. 2007 Sequoia Grove Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, $29.95

2007 was a great year to get married (ahem) and for California reds. This one is delicious and a reasonable gift and/or perfect for serving.

8. Monkey Shoulder Triple Malt Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey, $29.95

Sweet and a bit tart at the same time, this blend of three of Speyside’s finest single malt whiskies is unbelievably smooth.

9. Bruichladdich Scottish Barley ‘The Classic Laddie’, $54.99

Distilled from Scottish Barley, this single malt is matured in American oak casks and is easily one of the best single malts you will ever taste.

This special edition bottle is not only collectable, but 50% of the profits are donated to the Global Fund which funds programs to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa. And it’s filled with Belvedere vodka!

11. Mark and Graham Classic Hand-Blown Ice Bucket, $45

Personalize this ice bucket with their initials or a college nickname.

12. Williams-Sonoma Wine Country Gift Set, $99.95

Can’t make it to Napa? Here is everything you need (less the wine) to make your wine tasting experience nearly the same.

13. Glassful Gift Boxes, $45, $54, $100

It’s like a wine of the month club, only they get it all upfront.

14. Zoku Ice Sphere Molds, Set of 2, $16.95

I have come to appreciate the giant, perfectly formed ice cube. Better bars use them and now they are easy to make at home. The melt slowly and evenly, so stay cool, but not watered down.
