She is someone I see almost every day. Often several times a day. I call her "shopbop girl".
I don’t know what her deal is, if she’s snotty, mad, stuck up, or maybe she’s just shy. I don’t hate her because she’s beautiful. I never saw one single item of clothing that looked bad on her. She is really an excellent model. Her neutral demeanor, (I guess that’s nice way of saying – her blank expression) makes you look at the clothes she’s wearing. She’s implyng…"Don’t look at my face…Look! Look away. Look away from my face and look at this great dress!"
Her red hair has become sort of brand synonymous with shopbop – the orange logo color on their site, her auburn hair…they are marketing geniuses. I get it – it’s some sort of subliminal seduction!
But I figured it out. She’s not mean, sad or mad… she really just …tired. She’s tired from putting on and pulling off all of the pretty shopbop clothes that she models. Imagine – hundreds and hundreds of wonderful dresses and jackets and pants and leggings (uggh!) and swimsuits and accessories. And not just one photo – they shoot her for three different angles. It makes me tired, too.
Maybe I do hate her… I believe these are her legs in these shorts. Who could wear these shorts besides shopbop girl?
But I’m sympathetic… Look …they made her carry this heavy bag!
Often imitated, but never duplicated.
The shopbop girl.
Now I’m looking at this beautiful bag…time to go shopbopping!
