Shopping. Socialites and Salvation Army.

We’ve commented before on how we like budding socialite and fashion darling Olivia Palermo‘s signature style, and we are so glad to hear her talk about shopping like this. In a short but so sweet piece in the NY Magazine’s Intelligencer, she advocates shopping at thrift stores like the Salvation Army. In her own words, "I’ve found some really fabulous things there, and people are really
shocked. I’ve gotten e-mails asking, ‘Where was your dress from?’ I’m
not afraid to tell. I think it’s kind of cool; it gives you a different
side. So I was like, ‘Yeah. Two dollars.’
" We support mixing thrift, vintage, retail, and designer wear… it makes for an interesting wardrobe. So start taking notes from Palermo!
