70’s “Love Child” fashion is a huge trend this summer that carries over in to Fall ’15. However, if you were ALIVE in the 70’s you might think you can’t wear this trend. Don’t worry, you can! Take the peasant top (which a a huge trend) for example. Just be sure to keep the rest of your outfit modern and pair it with skinny jeans or pants and pointy flats or modern sandals. If you wear a peasant top with flair jeans and Birkenstocks you might as well braid your center-parted hair, smoke a doobie and take your show on the road in your VW van to Woodstock. Peace man.
Also, if you are over the age of 35 stay away from off-the-shoulder peasant tops, ones that are too literal (with fringe) and cold-shoulder versions (which Carol and I both abhor). Keep it simple but we love a good pattern. Here are some peasant tops we found for inspiration (or to buy).
