Maxim Magazine New Bikini Line
The men’s magazine, Maxim, known for featuring women on its cover in a bikini is now launching its own line of swimwear. The idea was conceived by editor in chief Kate Lanphear who wanted to bring a more refined approach to sexiness. The line is inspired by Brigitte Bardot and has both a boho vibe featuring fringe, crochet and paisley with also a girl next door style that includes solids, seersucker and gingham. Separates in the collection will retail for $76 and then one-pieces and cover-ups for $320.
Carine Roitfeld New Men’s Magazine
Carine Roitfeld is slated to release a new men’s magazine on September 10th, polybagged with the seventh issue of CR Fashion Book. Males that will be seen in the issue include: River Phoenix, Robert Mapplethorpe, Jaden Smith and Christopher Walken. The magazine is titled CR Men’s Book and will have a cover price of $20 and a print run of 65,000. It will have a 112 pages with 40 of those being advertising from brands such as: Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent and Givenchy.
Rachel Zoe’s Talk Show
Rachel Zoe is expanding her business and name with a new hosting gig! The stylist will be hosting a nighttime talk show called “Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe” on Lifetime and is also making her fashion e-zine The Zoe Report shoppable. The show will premiere on September 24 at 10:30 p.m. after “Project Runway.” Also Zoe is now letting the readers of The Zoe Report shop the content and digital advertisements posted on the site. This will allow her readers to make purchases through a single transaction rather than being diverted to different retailers.
