From the Sunday NYTimes, ‘On the Streets’ by Bill Cunningham white has infiltrated the city. "It isn’t even summer, and the white shirt and shirtdress are in abundance on the streets of Manhattan. At evening parties, long white shirtdresses were reminiscent of Renoir portraits."
OK. By now we all know that you don’t have to wait until the day after Memorial Day to wear white any longer. However, once I really looked at these photos individually I noticed something about the collective; most of these women looked like they were wearing wrinkled white potato sacks. Not only that, they also looked deathly pale. This look just isn’t very flattering. Hmmmm, white? Not so much.
